Data Standard

It standardizes reference data, corporate action and pricing information, serving as the foundation for data integrity and process automation related to financial instrument management, pricing, and reporting.

Time-To-Market

FIDM provides a comprehensive, consistent, mature and solid basis for building databases and applications for banks, data vendors, financial market infrastructures, and reduces development time, costs and risks considerably.

FIDM CORE AREAS

FIDM consists of six core packages, enabling the structuring and representation of all relevant information on financial instruments.

INSTRUMENT

The main and anchor package of the model covering all data relating to the financial instrument as a whole (e.g. name, unit, capital, issue conditions, identifications, classifications).

Rights and cash flows connected to financial instruments that are part of the initial definition (e.g. interest payments, dividends, principal payments, option rights, call and put features, conversion rights).

EVENT

Events that alter financial instruments or their issuing institutions, which were not part of the initial terms of the instrument (e.g. mergers, spin-offs, takeovers, purchase offers, legal proceedings).

LISTING

Information on financial markets where the instrument is traded (e.g. listings, trading practices, prices).

INSTITUTIONS

Institutions associated with financial instruments (e.g. issuers, guarantors, lead managers, payment agents).

COUNTRY

Information related to countries and their legal systems (e.g. languages, currencies, restrictions, taxation).

FIDM + MODM

A Comprehensive Data Management Solution

FIDM can be enhanced by the Middle Office Data Model (MODM), forming an integrated solution for financial instrument and position data.

Full-Scale

While FIDM defines financial instruments in detail, MODM complements it with position, order, and transaction data, along with all relevant conditions for comprehensive data management.

Unified Design

FIDM and MODM are fully compatible. Both models share the same level of detail, modeling techniques, and principles, ensuring full compatibility without duplication or inconsistencies.
